About

reviewsnot.com is a free troubleshooting library for business owners, and for the people who leave reviews, when a review is missing, broken, fake or sitting on the wrong listing. Each page deals with one problem. It is written by Jack Stovell and published by Adapt Progress Evolve Limited, a UK company, number 10047328.

How we check

Every page works the same way. The most likely cause comes first, then the fix in numbered steps. If there is no fix, the page says so plainly.

Causes carry a label showing who can act: Fixable, Check first, Platform’s call, Can’t be fixed. You should know within a few seconds whether the problem is yours to solve or someone else’s.

Any claim about a platform’s policy quotes the platform’s own help page and links to it. Next to the quote is the date a human last read that page. Each page also carries three dates — published, updated and checked — which mean different things, so we keep them apart.

The facts are written down before the prose, in a brief, so the writing cannot introduce a claim of its own. It is a slow way to work, and it is the part that keeps the pages honest.

We never promise that a review will be removed, restored or ranked. Nobody outside the platform can promise that. Where a platform’s rules say nothing can be done, the page tells you, rather than dressing it up as something else.

The first wave covers Google Business Profile. Trustpilot, Facebook and Tripadvisor are being written.

A few pages link to our own products, ReviewNudge and ScriptGrain. Wherever they appear they are labelled as ours, so you can tell a recommendation from a plug.
