# All my Google reviews have disappeared

Every review gone at once is usually the profile, not the reviews: a merge, a suspension, or a reinstatement. Here is how to tell which.

## Quick answer

When every review goes at once the cause is almost always the profile rather than the reviews themselves — a merge that has not settled, a suspension, or a reinstatement. Google says reviews removed for policy violations will not be restored.

## Check this first

- [ ] Search your business name on Google Maps on a phone, signed out, and check whether the profile itself still appears.
- [ ] Check the email address on the account for a notice from Google about the profile.
- [ ] Check whether anyone with access merged, moved or re-verified the profile in the last few days.

## Causes

### You recently merged two profiles

- Status: Check first - Usually resolves itself. Check, then wait.
- Google says that if you recently merged Business Profiles, it might take a few days for reviews from both profiles to display on Search and Maps.
- Fix: Wait a few days after the merge before doing anything else.

### The profile is suspended or disabled

- Status: Platform’s call - Only the platform can change it. Report or appeal.
- Google says it may suspend or disable Business Profiles that do not follow its guidelines, and that while a profile is suspended the public cannot go to it and the owner and managers cannot act on it.
- Fix: Appeal through the Business Profile appeals tool. Google recommends submitting evidence such as business registration, a licence or a utility bill.

### The profile was reinstated and the reviews did not come back

- Status: Platform’s call - Only the platform can change it. Report or appeal.
- Google says reviews might sometimes be removed after a Business Profile is reinstated.
- Fix: There is nothing to change on your side. Raise it with Google support, pointing at the reinstatement date.

### Google has turned off reviews for your profile or category

- Status: Platform’s call - Only the platform can change it. Report or appeal.
- Google says it might temporarily disable user-created content, including reviews, for certain Business Profiles or business categories to protect business owners.
- Fix: Wait for Google to lift it. Nothing you change on the profile will bring the reviews back sooner.

### They were removed for policy violations

- Status: Can’t be fixed - The platform’s rules say no. We say so plainly.
- Google says reviews removed for policy violations will not be restored.
- Fix: Nothing to do. Make sure your review requests never offer incentives or filter by rating, which is what usually triggers a sweep.

Checked 2026-10-02.

You open your Business Profile and every review is gone. Not one or two, the lot.

When they all vanish at once it is almost always the profile rather than the reviews themselves: a merge that has not settled, a suspension, or a reinstatement. One of those is waiting; the others sit with Google. And Google says reviews removed for policy violations will not be restored, which is worth knowing early.

The checklist below tells you which of the three you are dealing with. The causes after it are sorted by who can act: what you can check yourself, what is Google's call, and the one nobody can undo.

## Questions people ask

### Will my reviews come back after a suspension is lifted?

Not always. Google says reviews might sometimes be removed after a Business Profile is reinstated.

### Did Google delete my reviews because they were old?

Age is not one of the reasons Google documents. The reasons it lists are the policy check, a recent merge, old phones or software, policy removals, temporarily disabled user content, and reinstatement.

### How long should I wait after merging two profiles?

Google says it might take a few days for reviews from both profiles to display on Search and Maps.

### Can I get a removed review back?

Not if it was removed for a policy violation: Google says those will not be restored.
